Our advisors can offer career guidance together with general information and advice, and can also recommend other organisations in Newham who may be able to assist you.

Depending on your personal needs, we can:

guide and support you in the process of job search
search for jobs on your behalf
help you with your CV
discuss with you training options
refer you to appropriate training agencies
provide you with NVQ training in Advice & Guidance and /or customer services

We have excellent relationships with local employers and can source interviews on your behalf as well as linking in with Jobcentre Plus, fellow providers and accessing the Newham network to give you access to suitable job vacancies.

We will help you in the first stage of any job applications – checking your application forms and providing access to websites and the use of email and fax to forward your applications.

Once you have your interview we can help you prepare for it (if you wish) and direct you in the company research required to prepare yourself fully.

Once you’ve found your job, we can continue to provide any support you may need, identifying training and funding opportunities, providing moral support, employment guidance or just a friendly hand to help you through the unknowns in your new job.

The support you receive from us will be on a one-to-one basis and pre-employment training is in the classroom with a group – never more then 10 students at one time, often less – made up of people like you and in the same position as you, looking to re-enter the workplace.

If you simply need help with an application form but feel comfortable with the interview process then you can just have that guidance. On the other hand, if you feel you need the whole package, we will support you through your own agreed action plan into employment.

The assistance you receive from us will be tailored to your own needs so you won’t have to sit in training that is not relevant to you.
